lakes. down to the south in new mexico and west texas, that area could see accumulated snowfall. in dallas, if you are headed to dallas, could see rain in that region. watch out for that. the rest of the country, high and dry. a very good day out there as far as traveling is concerned. 50 degrees is the current temperature with winds north-northwest at 13 miles per hour. they are going to usher in cooler temperatures over the next couple days. we are talking numbers closer to average this time of year, still above average. 46 degrees in leesburg. 48 in manassas. 45 degrees by 9:00. waking up tomorrow to cool temperatures. temperatures we haven't seen too much of, but once again, we are five degrees above average to start the weekend. we'll talk more about the forecast tomorrow. of course, your christmas forecast coming up. >> all right, doug. >>> congress delivered a last minute extension of the payroll tax cut. they approved a two-month extension so 160 million americans don't have to pay 2% on income taxes. it's a victory for president obama but it did not come without a fight
